5-2-5 ... lovely ... I too love experimenting with my haiku format ... though the general convention is 5-7-5, I believe that's more to do with Japanese sounds than English syllables ... I feel restricted going by a conventional formula, and thus write whatever helps me in expressing my thoughts :-)
